Dee Bynum has his finger on the pulse. Whether it’s following trends, scouting emerging neighborhoods and infill opportunities, or overseeing the development of a design project, Dee’s dedication to—or obsession with—his projects is renowned.

Dee Bynum is a Nashville native with a rare combination of skills — trained as a Civil Engineer in the Air National Guard, educated in Interior Design at O'More College of Design in Franklin, and licensed as a General Contractor. That breadth means he thinks about a home the way few designers can: from site and structure all the way through to furnishings and finish.

Before founding Bynum Design, Dee worked for architectural firms across Middle Tennessee, developing the technical foundation and design sensibility that define the studio's work today. His approach starts from the inside out — understanding how a client wants to live before a single exterior line is drawn.

When he's not designing and building in Nashville, Dee draws inspiration from friends, travel, photography, gardening, and music.

At Bynum Design, one studio handles architecture, interiors, landscape, and outdoor living.
